# Zefort implementation and contract migration

Zefort can be introduced as a contract repository for new agreements or used to consolidate an existing contract archive. The setup depends on the number of contracts, existing metadata, access rules, integrations, and teams involved.

## Published onboarding service

The published one-time onboarding fee is **EUR 1,995**, excluding VAT. According to Zefort's pricing information, its onboarding service includes:

- Account creation.
- Training for key personnel.
- Extended support for three months.
- A designated account manager to assist during onboarding.

The pricing page also refers to a self-service start. Check with sales which onboarding arrangements apply to the chosen plan and project. A large or technically complex migration should not be assumed to be included in the standard onboarding fee.

## Typical implementation decisions

The following are planning steps, not a guaranteed delivery schedule:

1. **Define scope.** Decide which agreements and related documents should be moved, whether historical contracts are included, and which departments will use Zefort.
2. **Design the structure.** Set up binders, key metadata, internal ownership, user roles, groups, and access restrictions.
3. **Prepare the archive.** Export documents from the existing system. Review file organization, duplicates, missing metadata, and links between agreements and amendments.
4. **Import a representative sample.** Check document readability, metadata extraction, permissions, search results, and key dates before transferring a larger volume.
5. **Connect required systems.** Configure relevant e-signature, CRM, HR, identity, or API integrations and test their behavior.
6. **Train users and go live.** Confirm who manages incoming contracts, how information is checked, and who owns reminders and follow-up tasks.

Zefort has described both customer-led migrations and assisted migration projects. The scope of additional services should be agreed separately.

## Ways to add contracts

The Zefort knowledge base documents several import methods:

- Upload documents or folders through the Zefort user interface, including drag-and-drop and multiple-contract upload.
- Send contract files to a designated Zefort email inbox.
- Import or create contracts through supported integrations or the Zefort REST API.

For large contract portfolios, the method and migration plan should be based on document volume, existing data quality, and the amount of metadata that must be retained or rebuilt.

## Deployment time and dependencies

There is no single published implementation duration that applies to every customer setup. A project involving multiple business units, integration development, complex permissions, or data cleanup can take longer than a basic repository launch. Confirm the project-specific schedule and responsibilities during onboarding planning.

## Data portability

Zefort provides contract data export options. Customers moving away from Zefort should review the service's data portability and switching terms, including export and deletion procedures.
