Meet Tanja, Zefort’s own ‘True Detective’
Every day, Tanja steps into the world of customer support like a detective solving a case. She may not wear a trench coat or carry a magnifying glass. Still, her work requires a sharp eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to piece together clues to uncover solutions.
Interestingly, Tanja didn’t start her career in IT or customer service. With a background in sales, export, and supply operations, she leaped into a new industry – and it turned out to be the perfect fit. Now, she spends her days helping customers, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to Zefort’s continuous growth. But what’s her job really like, and what does it take to succeed?
Cracking the case: What a day in customer support looks like
What does a typical day in customer support look like? While the challenges may vary, Tanja’s mornings usually start the same way.
“I start by checking my schedule for any meetings or training sessions. Then I go through support tickets and customer inquiries to see what needs my immediate attention.”
Tanja’s main priority is ensuring Zefort users receive timely and helpful assistance. If technical issues arise, she investigates them thoroughly, working with developers to find the best solution. In addition, she manages customer accounts, updates access settings, writes support articles, and takes part in different projects.
Another key responsibility is training customers and admins, helping them get the most out of Zefort. “It’s not just about showing them how the software works,” Tanja explains. “It’s about making sure they feel confident using it, understanding its full potential, and integrating it smoothly into their daily workflows.” Whether through one-on-one sessions or group training, she ensures that every user has the knowledge they need to succeed.
The secret to success: What it takes to thrive in customer support
“This job requires patience, precision, and the ability to prioritize if things get hectic,” says Tanja.
Working in customer support involves more than answering questions – it’s about listening, analyzing, and problem-solving.
“Sometimes, it truly feels like detective work,” Tanja says. “Some cases are simple; others require me to dig deeper, ask the right questions, and put the pieces together. And when things get more complex, I collaborate with colleagues from the development team to uncover the best solution.”
Attention to detail is crucial, as is the ability to explain complex matters clearly. Empathy and patience also play a significant role.
“Every user is different. My job is understanding their needs and ensuring they feel supported.”

The most satisfying part of the job? “Helping customers and knowing I made their day easier,” Tanja says. “It’s also exciting to contribute ideas that help improve the product.”
