Meet Anna, a marketer with a passion for storytelling
Anna joined us at Zefort as a Marketing Manager in the autumn of 2024, bringing her love for storytelling and impactful marketing to the team. The role was a natural fit, allowing her to combine crafting narratives with innovative marketing strategies. With a background in inbound marketing, employer branding, advertising, and SaaS, Anna was an ideal addition to our marketing efforts.
First impression: A warm welcome
Before joining us, Anna says she could tell Zefort was different. While unfamiliar with our product, she had a positive impression of the company.
“I had heard great things about Zefort through the grapevine. I knew it was a company that truly valued its employees and their expertise and wanted to provide the best working conditions for them. In addition, I knew they focused heavily on AI, which is something to stay on top of today. When I saw they had an open position in marketing, I knew it was the job for me!”
From the start, Anna felt right at home in what she describes as a professional yet relaxed atmosphere.
“From day one, I was impressed by the talented and dedicated professionals here. The culture encourages quality work, but no one expects you to bend over backwards. People take their work seriously but don’t take themselves too seriously – which is exactly how it should be.”
Since we at Zefort support hybrid working, not everyone was at the office to welcome Anna on her first day, but she still felt included.
“Slack was full of emojis and messages of welcome. It was a small gesture, but it made a huge difference. I immediately felt part of the team.”
Onboarding made easy
Anna was pleased with her clear, structured, yet flexible onboarding plan. Although not part of the official onboarding process, she got off to a fun start by attending our company kickoff before her start date, which made meeting the team much easier.
“Starting a new job is always exciting but can also be scary. Meeting everyone in a more casual environment beforehand helped me feel more confident. When I officially began, I felt connected and was comfortable asking anyone for help and guidance.”
The personalized onboarding plan gave Anna a clear roadmap of what to expect and take in during her first weeks and months. At the end of the three-week induction, she had determined both personal and team-specific goals for the upcoming quarter with her manager, who provided support and direction throughout the process.
“I liked having a given but flexible plan to follow and, at the same time, having the freedom to explore the business and product at my own pace and time. I think this set the general tone for how we work in our team – with collaboration and trust.”
Early contributions and new challenges
Anna’s induction period quickly turned into action as she took on her first project: localizing our company website into Swedish.
“It was exciting to start with something so substantive as a website, and it felt rewarding to make an immediate impact. I was happy I could put my skills to use from early on by contributing hands-on to our takeover of new markets. At the same time, it was a great way to learn about the product and the industry itself.”
Changing jobs also included some challenges; however, they were of a positive kind. After working almost entirely remotely, Anna transitioned to our hybrid model, where she could choose between working from home or the office.
“I love that the office is a bus ride away, and I can clearly distinguish between home and work. Balancing the commute with home life, hobbies, and other comings and goings required some adjustment, but it’s been a challenge I’ve been more than happy to accept!”
Looking forward to the next 90
After 90 days with us, Anna says her feeling of having found her place has grown even stronger.
“Zefort’s culture – where professionalism meets a warm and inclusive atmosphere – has been truly inspiring. It’s a place where I feel I can grow and contribute in countless ways.”
Looking forward, Anna is excited to contribute to our expansion in the Nordics and the rest of Europe.
